It is that time of year again when I take a moment to write new financial goals for Litehouse and reflect on the impressive achievements from the past financial year.
Firstly, Litehouse Property celebrated its first year of operations and I’m so incredibly proud of its operational excellence. When I set out the Company’s Mission Statement of making a difference through leading the way and creating value, above and beyond, I knew that providing exception customer service to both landlords and tenants will be one key element that will set me apart in the business. Google reviews have been plenty and customer testimonials speak highly of the positive experiences and the difference in services that I deliver, leading to a solid 5-star rating of the Litehouse Property online. Thank you to all my clients for the honest endorsements and for your continued support.
Secondly, I also couldn’t be more excited about the growth of the company I have had over the last 12 months. I have welcomed many new landlords and tenants throughout the year, but the last quarter has been exceptionally bustling with onboarding many new properties and clients and overall increase in fantastic leasing activities.
Speaking of leasing, demand for rental accommodation has met with a shortage in properties in recent months, resulting in an uptick in rents and renters often bidding higher than the asking price. I’ve had open for inspections with over 30 attendants, numerous applications, and rent gains over $150 a week compared to what the last tenant was paying. We have also seen 1-bedroom apartments renting at $700 -$750 a week in buildings where rents for the same units used to be $550 a week. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the year pans for the property market in light of the rising interest rates that are anticipated to continue to hike, the current energy crisis and the lobal efforts at central banks to curb rising inflation.
Operations-wise, I will continue to strive for the thorough and outstanding customer service my company stands for and going above and beyond for each customer. Quick responses, quick solutions, follow up and follow through, thinking outside the box, but most importantly finding a win-win solution for all. Additionally, I’m committed to continue to keep operations cost as low as possible for all my landlords, and therefore continue to evaluate the services and costs each service provider offers, starting with smoke alarms services. Stay tuned for that.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation to all who have supported me to date in building my business and to all my clients who continue to have faith and trust in me with their investments. Without you, the successes I have achieved last year would not have been possible, and for that I am beyond grateful.
